Vacation in Laos

Guess where me & my bestie went for our vacation? Planned to be more adventurous this time, no more of those Bangkok destinations. We went no one has been before, or at least none of our friends had been before - Laos! Interesting right? Yes & no. Well this is not a travel blog & I'm really bad at explaining & introducing places & activities. Anyway below are some pictures, we took of the place.

September in the office

September : Weird, there was a big quarrel in my office in the beginning of the month. The bosses or partners of the firm were at war -over 'what' I don't know. We speculate it's about money. The ones that were working, were not so happy with the 2 so-call sleeping partners. I can understand, they do nothing & still get paid. Then sometimes they come up with really stupid things & we have to do it. Hmmm.... do we, the staff take sides? The oldest staff an old lady is like the sleeping partners' spy. So she'll report every damn thing to them, kinda like a traitor. We are all vary of her.

October: I'll be going for a vacation end of the month , cant wait ! Need a time out from the office. The place is small but very volatile ...haha...  It's literally like the show The Office, it could be hilarious at times.

June: I'm waiting to watch Mr Robot Season 2. Season one was so good. But I'm too lazy to review as I'm working now. I also told my Boss I've a blog, reviewing TV shows, he's very encouraging:)

July:We have a new colleague. She's so awesome. She has a brother & a sister both working in the airlines. She's always bringing snacks for us, from all over. Also other strange things, you cant find in Singapore. The other day she just gave me a cap from Japan, so cute. Her sister had bought it for her, but she's not into caps, so she thought of me. How sweet !!!

August: Mum & Dad went to Bangkok again, for 3 days. They brought back so much Thai snacks. I'm going to get fat! But oohhh... how I love them ...haha...

*When mum goes on vacation .....

I've left this blog untouched for so long that I, at times, tend to forget. Perhaps, it's FB that makes me not update here anymore. It's easier to connect at FB than jotting down memories in a blog. I've also not been watch  that much TV lately so the reviews have to stop for a while.

Meanwhile lets catch up on what's up.

March: My parents & siblings went on 10 days vacation to Europe, so I had the whole house to myself! Very fun at first, BUT after only 2 days, when the mess pile up, I began to miss my mum. On the third day, I have to do some basic house cleaning, as even I cant stand the dishes being left unwashed for so long.

I plan to buy only take-out that I can eat off the container & complete with disposable chopsticks too! Pizza is the best bet. Also I'm planning to have my meals out, so that I don't even have to dirty anything at home!

By the 5th day I noticed I've not made my bed since mum left ....urgh....  I start texting mum telling her "i miss her" & sending her pics of my unmade bed ....lol... She send back a selfie picture of everyone in the hotel room all looking very worried (obviously taken by my sister!)...lol..

Billions, TV series

Recently I started on the new show Billions starring Paul Giamatti as Charles "Chuck" Rhoades Jr., U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

And Damian Lewis as Bobby "Axe" Axelrod, an ambitious, very smart & successful hedge fund king.With these 2 in the leads you can expect a very interesting show. And indeed, the show so far did not disappoint.

These two were on the opposite sides with Paul Giamatti trying to take Damian Lewis down. I see myself rooting for Damian Lewis's Bobby ...haha.... naturally. The bad boy billionaire is always more interesting.

The Shield starring Michael Chiklis

I've not review any shows as I've been watching Hong Kong"s TVB series. Nothing to review as they were not as good as before. Mostly I couldnt even finish the series. Sad huh? Lately I've been watch this older Amercian series :

The Shield  starring Michael Chiklis (from 2002 to 2008) total 7 seasons. Usually shows that lasted that long is Good!

It's about corrupt police officers. Even Glenn Close (4th season) & Forest Whitaker (5th& 6th season) join the show! Can you imagine? Only good shows can attract big stars like that :)

For me, usually shows without good looking leads do not interest me ...lol...  But Michael Chiklis... remember him as " the Thing" from Fantastic 4? Ya, he's sweet & very charismatic in the show . Anyway I'm loving it, entertaining- it showed a very rough & tough fictional part of L.A. infested with crimes. I really recommend this show. Very good.

Supergirl starring Melissa Benoist & Calista Flockhart.

Just saw episode one of SUPERGIRL !
It stars Melissa Benoist as Supergirl, I like her. She's bright & cute. Her adoptive sister Chyler Leigh is beautiful & elegant. And Calista Flockhart as supergirl's boss. As always Calista is wonderful. When Brothers & Sisters ended, I was wondering when will I see her again. Then she pop up here ! I hope this show last! Am liking it so far !

One small complain though. The male cast is not as strong !
